PLEASE HELP PAKISTAN FLOOD VICTIMS
One Fifth of Pakistan is underwater, over 20 million homeless and at the very high risk of diseases specially the children. The international community’s lukewarm response to the aid calls is making conditions nothing but worst. According to UN the devastation caused by the flood surpasses that of Tsunami, Haiti and Kashmir earthquakes combine.
Homes, crops, trees, livestock, entire villages and towns have been transformed into lakes, forcing the flood victims to huddle in muddy areas.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Sunday that “while he has visited sites of natural disasters around the world, he has never seen anything like the devastation created by flooding in Pakistan”.
The ISM leadership is working with reputed US based charity organizations to get the financial aid to the victims as quickly a possible.
