ISM Sunday School has been serving the Muslim community in the michiana area since 2000. The school offers classes for the students age 5 - 16. The school is run by volunteers who serve as teachers, principal and vice principal. The education committe is responsible for making and implementing decisions as well as serve as a liaison between the school staff and the ISM board of directors.
Our Mission
At ISM Sunday School our core mission is to instill Islamic education and manners into our students via teachings of the Quran and the life of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions.
Our Vision
Our vision for our Sunday School students is to enable them to:
• understand the message and guidance of the Quran
• learn Islamic Aadaab and Akhlaaq (manners and etiquettes)
• learn the history of Muslim Ummah/Scholars
• learn Islamic Aqaid (Beliefs) and Ibadaat (Worships)
• become a productive citizen and live in peaceful coexistence with neighbors, friends and people of other faith
Insha'Allah our commitment is to achieve our vision through:
• classes in Islamic Studies, Quran Studies, Arabic Studies, Islamic History, and classes in Islamic Morals and Manners using conventional and modern techniques (i.e. multimedia presentations, Audio/Video)
• an Islamic environment for socialization through opportunities such as Eid Parties, and other school sponsored recreational activities including national events(i.e. July 4th)
