The Islamic Society of Michiana (ISM) is committed to nurturing a strong foundation of faith, knowledge, and character in children, youth, and adults. Through a variety of educational and spiritual programs, we provide opportunities for the community to learn, grow, and connect with the teachings of Islam.

Programs for Children

Sunday School
Our Sunday School provides children with an opportunity to learn the Qur’an, Islamic teachings, and essential values while building friendships and connections within the community.

Afternoon Qur’an School
Children can develop their Qur’an reading skills and learn about Islamic teachings, practices, and everyday values in a supportive learning environment.

Tahfeedh Academy
The Tahfeedh Academy is dedicated to helping students memorize the Qur’an while developing a lasting connection with the Book of Allah.

Adult Learning

ISM offers educational and spiritual programs for both men and women, providing opportunities for continued learning and reflection.

• Qur’an Tafsir Halaqah — Explore the meanings and lessons of the Qur’an.
• Seerah Halaqah — Learn about the life, character, and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
• Tajweed Halaqah — Improve Qur’an recitation through the principles of proper Tajweed.

Youth Engagement

ISM encourages children and youth to actively participate in the community through educational programs, activities, and opportunities for spiritual growth. Our programs provide a supportive environment where young Muslims can learn, build friendships, and strengthen their connection with Islam.

ISM is committed to serving the Muslim community throughout the year. From daily prayers and Qur’an education to halaqahs, youth programs, Ramadan activities, and community events, our masjid remains a place for worship, learning, connection, and service.
